The Judgment Against Blind Men
"Hence they said to the blind man again: "What do you say about him, seeing that he opened your eyes?"
The man said: "He is a prophet."
And Jesus said: "For this judgment I came into this world:
that those not seeing might see and those seeing might become blind."
John 9:13
The bible stories are intended to be understood as symbolic dramas.. not history.
So... it is most unfortunate they get taken literally..
This is mainly due to poor reading comprehension.. and minds occupied with outward events..........
Religious materialism.. = an oxymoron.
So.. it is not really religion anymore.
Alan Watts once wrote... "Prostitution is the oldest occupation... and religion is the oldest con-trick"
And that's true.
RE-LIGION means RE-UNITE
And.. so.. obviously.. it is against religious sects.
This is what the bible teaches.. SECTS ARE BAD!!!
SAY "NO" TO SECTS!!!
Because sects destroy unitity.. and create a false sense of division.
Paradoxical as it make seem...
Unity is the coming together of unique indivduals.
Hell occurs when we all try to be the same.. who wants that.. ?
It is against both God and Nature.
Diversity Rules!!!
Isn't it what goes on in hearts and minds that really matters.. ?
The inner person.. not the physical body.
Blindness is used as a metaphor for those who lack this understanding.. insight..
For example.. the so-called.. “religious” people.. who are materialists.
But also our leaders.... and the legal eagles.. who bind and ensnare us with their endless rules.. and laws.
This is the Devil.. the spirit of lies and oppression.
Taking away our power to act as individuals.. and making us slaves to the great idea..
We still use the same blindness metaphor today.
Blind leaders… leading us astray.... The blind guiding the blind.
Isaiah even wrote about them...
"And those who are leading this people on prove to be the ones causing them to wander; and those of them who are being led on, the ones who are being confused."
Isaiah 9:16
Isn't that the truth.. ?
The Bible teaches “love your neighbour..
While religious sects wage war.. segregation.. and hate.
They are - metaphorically - "blind and deaf" to what scripture is reallly telling them...
Their hearts and minds are - metaphorically - dead..
Even while their bodies are still - literally - alive.
Jesus taught.. "It is the Spirit that is life-giving..."
But the deaf didn't hear.
Authentic religion deals with hearts and minds (meaning.. the Spirit).. not our body organs..
So.. any materialistic interpretation of Holy Scripture.. is flawed.
Jesus cured people inwardly.. with wise teachings.. and well considered words.
He cured people of their errors.. in their thinking and in their feeling..
(sin literally means.. error)
He cured hearts and minds that had gone astray..
“Upon hearing this Jesus said to them: "Those who are healthy do not need a physician, but those who are ailing do. I came to call, not righteous people, but sinners."
Mark 2:17
The real meaning behind the stories of Jesus making the blind see.. become self-evident.. when we compare the usage of the word.. “blind”.. in context with other verses throughout the book.
We still use blind as a metaphor today.. to mean someone who is lacking in understanding something.. after something has been clearly explained to them.
Then.. we might ask them... "Are you blind?"
And our.. so called.. leaders.. are guilty.. in this respect.. popes and judges..
Since they remain blind to what the Bible is really saying..
Neither be called 'leaders,' for your Leader is one, the Christ.
Matthew 23:10
Blind As A Metaphor For Insight And Understanding
The blind are seeing again, and the lame are walking about, the lepers are being cleansed and the deaf are hearing, and the dead are being raised up, and the poor are having the good news declared to them...
...so that the crowd felt amazement as they saw the dumb speaking and the lame walking and the blind seeing, and they glorified the God of Israel.

Blind Defining Passages
God is opening the eyes of the blind ones; God is raising up the ones bowed down; God is loving the righteous ones.
Psalms 146:8
And in that day the deaf ones will certainly hear the words of the book, and out of the gloom and out of the darkness even the eyes of the blind ones will see.
Bring forth a people blind though eyes themselves exist, and the ones deaf though they have ears.
Isaiah 29:18 & 43:8
Let them be. Blind guides is what they are. If, then, a blind man guides a blind man, both will fall into a pit.
